n8n Homelab · Google OAuth application
The Google connection for a private automation server.
n8n Homelab is the name of a Google OAuth application. It belongs to a self-hosted n8n automation server that one person runs for their own household. The application is how that server reads from, and writes to, that person's own Google account. It has no other users and is not offered to anyone else.
What the connection is used for
The workflows behind it are ordinary household bookkeeping: watching one family inbox for time-sensitive notices from schools and activity organizations, pulling text out of attached documents so deadlines are not missed, and filing the results where a weekly summary can read them. Nothing on the server is commercial.
Reads
Gmail
Messages that match fixed sender and attachment filters, and their attachments. It does not send, delete, or modify mail.
Writes
Google Drive
Files into folders in the same Google account. It does not read or change files elsewhere in the Drive.
Who uses it
One person. The Google account it connects to and the server it runs on belong to the same person. There is no sign-up and no account other than that one.
